Suma Organics to Debut New Packaging and Introduce Cumbre and Cordillera at Coffee Fest Los Angeles

CHANDLER, AZ — Suma Organics, a specialty coffee brand sourcing single-origin beans from the Peruvian Andes, will make its trade show debut at Coffee Fest Los Angeles, taking place August 21–22, 2026, at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The appearance marks the public unveiling of the brand's redesigned packaging and new names for its two signature roasts.

Suma's medium and dark roasts will now be known as Cumbre and Cordillera, names drawn directly from the geography the coffee comes from. Cumbre, Spanish for summit, is the brand's bright, approachable medium roast. Cordillera, meaning mountain range, is the deeper, full-bodied dark roast. Both are grown above 1,700 meters in the Andes between Cusco and Ayacucho, sourced from growers Suma works with directly, and roasted in small batches.

The new packaging carries the same shift in direction, moving toward a design language rooted more visibly in Andean landscape and craft. Suma will show the new look for the first time at its booth, alongside pour-over tastings of both roasts.

"The names had to come from the same place the coffee does," said Ruben Galvan, Co-founder of Suma Organics. "Cumbre and Cordillera aren't just new labels. They're a more honest description of what's actually in the bag and where it came from."

Suma's coffee is award-winning, a medal winner at AVPA 2024 in Paris, recognized as among the best roasted-at-origin coffees. The brand will be exhibiting at Roasters Row, a space at Coffee Fest dedicated to specialty roasters and importers, where attendees can taste both Cumbre and Cordillera and meet the team behind them.

Coffee Fest Los Angeles draws owners, buyers, roasters, and other decision-makers from across the West Coast specialty coffee industry. For Suma, an early-stage, founder-led brand currently building its wholesale presence, the show is an opportunity to introduce the new packaging and names directly to the independent coffee shops and cafés it's built for.

About Suma Organics

Suma Organics is a specialty coffee brand built on a simple standard: know where your coffee comes from, and never compromise on how it's made. Sourced from the high Andes of Peru and roasted in small batches, Suma exists to bring real quality back to the most frequent, least intentional moment in people's day — the first cup. The brand is rooted in the philosophy of sumaq qamaña, to live well, in harmony with the land and with each other.
